The Maison OGILVY was not going to celebrate its 150th anniversary calmly. On the contrary, it is with style by collaborating with renowned claws that it counts to underline the occasion. Stuart Weitzman, Michael Kors, Christofle, Delage Paris, Mackage, Anzie, Gorski, Links of London, and many other great names have created and created unique and original pieces inspired by the OGILVY DNA and its famous tartan. These special creations are offered at an online auction that began on October 6th during a fashion show for the benefit of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Foundation to help provide sick children with a healthier future. The auction will close on November 16 at OGILVY en fête event annual of shopping and gastronomy. Items are on sale until November 16, 2016.

Unveiling of the mechanical Christmas window of OGILVY

Combining fashion and tradition, Maison OGILVY is a unique place offering a refined shopping experience, with 150 years of experience. It is a place that really captures the very essence of the city and is long impregnated in the memory of the visitors. Since 1947, the prestigious store has put forward a popular event, when the famous showcase of the holidays takes over from their usual urban showcases (Talk to my cousin Stéphanie).

Today, Friday, November 11 at 4 pm, OGILVY will unveil the much-anticipated Enchanted Village that will mark the official start of the holiday season (although for some, Christmas is already on). The popular bagpipe player, as well as a musical ensemble, will kick off this Montreal tradition. The unveiling on the red carpet will be embellished with various surprises that will certainly put you in the spirit of the holidays, if not already done.

On the occasion of our 150th anniversary, the Enchanted Village returns more sparkling and colorful than ever thanks to its new beauty. Some German Steiff figurines have been revamped, proudly displaying creations adorned by the famous OGILVY Scottish plaid, signature element unique to the Montreal store. “We consider the holiday window to be so much more than just a retail window display,” says Steeve Lapierre, Divisional Vice President, Marketing. “It is something very special for Montrealers and has been part of holiday magic for generations. It is a big responsibility and a great privilege to contribute to this constantly renewed enchantment.”

The Enchanted Village features ducks waggling a cart, monkeys filling their fruit basket, while chickens lay quietly … the enchantment of this passage brings joy, astonishment, and above all genuine pleasure. More than a hundred moving parts enliven the enchanted showcase of St. Catherine Street allow you to admire this fascinating incursion into an imaginary world. I personally find that it is also an allegory to the fact that several different species are able to live together, and this, in joy.

THE magic showcase will come alive every day, from 8 am to midnight, until the first week of January.
