Let’s leave the floor to Sam Dalcourt, Gabrielle Panaccio, Jey Laflamme and Christ Desjardins.
Top spirits and wines for Holidays of Christ Desjardins: Owner – Bootlegger L’Authentique
For me, Holidays is a synonym of relaxation, I like the resting side, the fireplace, and the Ardbeg Uigeadail. Its peaty side reminds me of this warmth and brings me this feeling of comfort. A perfect companion for Holidays.
I love the Glenmorangie Signet for its sumptuous side, coffee / cappuccino side … a comforting whiskey, perfect for a cold and sunny day … great for sharing with the family that are visiting.
Top spirits and wines for Holidays of Samuel Dalcourt: Mixology consultant
For the first choice, I suggest Belle de Brillet which is a very rich spirit. It is actually a superb liqueur made from cognac and pears of French manufacture, it’s good nature or cocktail.
For the second, it’s a Quebec gin and I like its terroir with birch bark and macerated blueberries. Perfect for Holidays.
Editor’s note: His little brother, BeDirty, has just come out, but is in more limited quatities.
Top spirits and wines for Holidays of Jey Laflamme: Mixologist – Distillerie no. 2
As I come from Quebec City, I love to go back there to celebrate Holidays. I think it’s normal that the gin Trait-Carré of the region of the old capital with aromas of elderberry, chamomile and cardamom makes me nostalgic.
For December 31, an Moët and Chandon Imperial Nectar. Very affordable for a champagne, with aromas of fruit and honey. Freshness to start 2019!
Top spirits and wines for Holidays of Gabrielle Panaccio: Co-owner Bar Le Lab
To start the evening quietly, I will go to a vermouth! Of course, the vermouth Val Caudalies by Le Lab, because it will open my appetite! It’s light, and at the beginning of a party, nothing better than a nice glass of vermouth with a slice of orange.
Whiskey has always been my weakness, it is a spirit where you choose your kind of moment according to your state of mind, if I feel more comfortable, in a warm atmosphere, I will go to an Islay , and if I feel more tired, I would go to a Highland or Speyside that is more accessible to taste. During Holidays, an Arberg or Lagavulin will fill my palace! With a fireplace, family, snow, these whiskeys will give me a warm heart!
