Two Slochetails recipes to better appreciate the heat wave!

Slochetails recipes - Cover

While I had already made a recipe Slochetail in 2015 (the photo is new on the article), I decided to reshare the recipe, but in addition to make a second. So two Slochetails recipes for you guys.

The First of Two Slochetails recipe: The PUR Slochetail Brainfreeze!

Slochetails recipes - PUR Brainfreeze

As we like the PUR Vodka, this is the one we used in our first recipe

So the ingredients for the first of two Slochetails recipes, the PUR Brainfreeze.

2 cups (125 ml) of water
½ cup (125 mL) granulated sugar
½ cup (125 mL) lime juice (lime)
2 cups fresh strawberries or more (according to taste)
½ cup (125 ml) of PUR Vodka
A strawberry for garnish

In a blender, purée the strawberries. Then, in a saucepan, mix the water and sugar. Heat slightly to dissolve the sugar and remove from heat. Stir in all other ingredients and pour into a 38 x 25 cm (15 x 10-inch) pyrex dish. Freeze for 2 hours and stir at the fork by scraping the edges of the dish (this is a bit of the technique of granita).

Return to the freezer and repeat 4-5 times, stirring every 30 minutes or until the mixture is granular. By the way, it can be a lot longer since the vodka freezes very hard. Enjoy with straw or spoon;)

The Frozen Mojito or Mojito Frozen, the second of the two Slochetails recipes.

Slochetails recipes - Bacardi Frozen Mojito

Because verybody like Mojito and they are fresh, why not make an icy version.

You need:

  • 2 cups (125 ml) of water
  • ½ cup (125 mL) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (125 mL) lime juice
  • A lot of mint, 3-4 cups
  • 1 cup (125 mL) rum
  • 700 ml of Club Soda
  • Mint and lime for garnish

In a blender, add half of the rum and mint. Puree. Then, in a saucepan, mix the water, rum and sugar. Heat slightly to dissolve the sugar and remove from heat. Add all other ingredients including Club Soda and pour into a 38 x 25 cm (15 x 10-inch) pyrex dish. Freeze for 2 hours and stir at the fork by scraping the edges of the dish (this is a bit of the technique of granita).

Return to the freezer and repeat 4-5 times, stirring every 30 minutes or until the mixture is granular. By the way, it can be a lot longer because it freezes very hard. Enjoy with straw or spoon;)
