Before pista, it was a mobile coffee on a bicycle, and yes. I think if I remember correctly, the first time I saw them was at the Jackalope event in 2014. Yes, it&#8217;s been four years now. It was a great meeting to discover this bike that made espresso (do not say expresso please, especially if you travel in Italy). A few years later, in the spring of 2016, Caf\u00e9 Pista took place, as I said earlier, at 500 Beaubien Street East.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full wp-image-12211\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"687\" src=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-owners.jpg\" alt=\"Caf\u00e9 Pista Coffee Shop - owners\" class=\"wp-image-12211\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-owners.jpg 600w, https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-owners-200x229.jpg 200w, https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-owners-148x170.jpg 148w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The 3 owners<br>Photo: Caf\u00e9 Pista Coffee Shop<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Caf\u00e9 Pista Coffee Shop: From biking to the sweet spot<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Caf\u00e9 Pista Coffee Shop would certainly have been able to stay with the bike, but the demand being so strong during the events (remembering the <a title=\"A 7th year for the First Fridays at the Olympic Stadium!\" href=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/en\/fine-dining\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">First Fridays<\/a> among others) has certainly pointed the owner Maxime Richard (now with two new co-owners) to the building a physical location. The space is simply beautiful. Very different from its near neighbor <a title=\"Coffee Space : Cafellini Coffee Shop\" href=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/en\/fine-dining\/coffee-space-cafellini-coffee-shop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cafellini<\/a> being much larger and serving brunch, it is distinguished by an excellent coffee and a space where it is good to find. Busy days of weeks when many freelancers have made their headquarters, we greatly appreciate the summer terrace.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full wp-image-12206\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-Decor.jpg\" alt=\"Caf\u00e9 Pista Coffee Shop - Decor\" class=\"wp-image-12206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-Decor.jpg 600w, https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-Decor-200x267.jpg 200w, https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-Decor-128x170.jpg 128w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Gentologie<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Brunch and Coffee on the Menu.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While many caf\u00e9s focus on coffee, the appeal of Caf\u00e9 Pista is a complete brunch menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Granola<br>Yogurt, granola, seasonal fruits and nuts.<br>Tartine &amp; Homemade Ricotta<br>Homemade ricotta, honey and nuts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green salad<br>Cream cheese bagel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tartine and Homemade Jam<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Croissant Dej<br>Egg, ham and cheese.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pista Bowl<br>Green salad, avocado, gravlax and poached egg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tartine<br>Avocado, poached egg and greenery.<br>Extra gravlax offered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bagel<br>Cream cheese, salmon gravlax and small salad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still nice as a menu. We can do worse and with local ingredients, this is where the interest of the latter lies. Ok, maybe not for the avocados but hey. But I like to believe, as their website says, that they get their supplies from producers here: Ferme Birri, one of the only farmers in the Jean-Talon Market with the Ferme des Quatre-temps Farm, La Laiterie Chagnon , Kombucha form Les Fous de l&#8217;\u00cfle, Loop Fresh Juices, Henri Soda, Autumn Bakery (the croissant on the cover picture came from there) and Dave Plant-Pastry Chef. It&#8217;s already a great effort on the part of this local business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s fine brunch, but what about the coffee?<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full wp-image-12208\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-Latte.jpg\" alt=\"Caf\u00e9 Pista Coffee Shop - Latte\" class=\"wp-image-12208\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-Latte.jpg 600w, https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-Latte-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/gentologie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Caf\u00e9-Pista-Coffee-Shop-Latte-113x170.jpg 113w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Caf\u00e9 Pista Coffee Shop<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You&#8217;ll find Canadian coffee roasters: Kittel, ZAB and Structure de Montr\u00e9al, as well as Pilot and Cut Coffee from Toronto. They also have roasters invited each month to make you discover different tastes, it&#8217;s quite interesting. Not to mention the cups of Cecile Gari\u00e9py in which coffee is served. I must say that I have a little less coffee photo from Pista because it is a little less on my way, but it is still a must. And even if I do not go there often, the coffee is always perfect. They are in a lot of events, we think about the Pier Art Faire, Made With Love Barista, and even more, it&#8217;s one of their strengths. They have a great setup, it&#8217;s too perfect! With the upcoming elections (and the thousands of rallies, give your volunteers good coffee and have local coffee instead of encouraging chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
