Here are the basic rules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>STEP 1: Divide into two teams and decide who throws first.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>STEP 2: Throw the <em>cochonnet<\/em> (small beige ball) while standing inside the starting circle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>STEP 3: The teams take it in turns to throw their <em>boules<\/em> as close as possible to the <em>cochonnet<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>STEP 4: The team with the <em>boule<\/em> closest to the <em>cochonnet<\/em> wins a point for each of its <em>boules<\/em> that is closer than its opponent\u2019s
