{"id":49918,"date":"2023-08-02T20:30:48","date_gmt":"2023-08-03T00:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/?p=49918"},"modified":"2026-03-10T16:18:43","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T20:18:43","slug":"the-vins-bu-signature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/en\/fine-dining\/the-vins-bu-signature\/","title":{"rendered":"The Vins B\u00f9 Signature : A new range for Jessica Harnois"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re familiar with the Vins B\u00f9 range, which can be found in grocery shops in Qu\u00e9bec (its Canadian orange wine is to die for, and they\u2019re excellent choices when the SAQ is closed or you\u2019re in a place where there aren\u2019t any), it\u2019s back in the SAQ with the first wine in the B\u00f9 Signature range, B\u00f9 Haut M\u00e9doc. It has to be said that some wines still found there may not be as good as the B\u00f9 range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When B\u00f9 was created, she launched her popular Splendido wine in the SAQ and in grocery shops at the same time. \u201cSince then, they\u2019ve changed the laws and I wanted to continue offering good wine to everyone, so I stayed in the grocery channel. We\u2019ve won prizes and gold medals for our sparkling wines, and people have shown us that we\u2019re no longer prejudiced. I decided to go to the SAQ because it\u2019s a great place to go for advice from wine professionals. For one thing, there are far fewer greenhouse gases produced by transport, since the weight is reduced with the wine being not bottled; for another, it creates jobs at the bottling plant here; and for another, I can control the quality at the outset and on arrival (she has already returned products that were not to her taste).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Grocery wines: A mindset that&#8217;s slowly changing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPeople often say that grocery store customers don\u2019t know the wines, but they don\u2019t trust them, it\u2019s just another point of sale. Before, the grape varieties weren\u2019t listed (many wines still have their names hidden, and <a href=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/en\/fine-dining\/drink-local\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ms. Harnois<\/a> is fighting to change that, using a tendering system), but today that\u2019s no longer the case, and the wines are just as good as at the SAQ. And we are the best-selling wine in the 750&nbsp;ml format, all categories combined,\u201d says the trained sommelier. For her, the B\u00f9 Haut M\u00e9doc Signature, at $18.90, is a gift that is truly affordable for its quality. And to top it all off, she\u2019s been selling 3&nbsp;million bottles a year for the last 7 years\u2014it\u2019s a real success!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a Bordeaux of exceptional quality. The versatility of B\u00f9 Signature Haut-M\u00e9doc makes it a perfect match for the barbecue season. The wine can be drunk as an aperitif, or with starters, main courses or cheeses.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full wp-image-49924\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
