So close to nature that you can see free-roaming reindeer on the surrounding grounds in the heart of wild Alberta, just an hour from Calgary. The hotel is magnificent, magical, it is huge! The number of things to do in the surrounding area is just incredible. Think skiing, mountain hiking, skating, hockey, not forgetting the magnificent and enormous Spa on site to relax in. I was there for a short stay with the <a href=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/en\/art-of-living\/physical-and-mental-health-two-assets-of-a-gentleman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MyFitnessPal team<\/a>. For its incredible atmosphere, especially during the festive season. There is everything you need to relax, even if you are there for a meeting. The Rockies are visible from almost everywhere, and the place is very quiet. It can get quite cold in the region, be warned. I was fortunate enough to have a room with a <a href=\"https:\/\/gentologie.com\/en\/fine-dining\/nespresso-the-most-gentleman-of-coffee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nespresso coffee machine<\/a>, which is very practical in the morning. There is a desk and a big TV. The bed is really comfortable and you can see the mountains from several of the rooms. Let us start with Forte, an Italian-themed restaurant designed for families with a menu to please everyone, it also offers buffet lunches. The view of Mount Kidd in the afternoon sunshine is superb. The Blacktail bar, which is beautiful and right next to the foyer, has a great selection of local whiskies. The Cedar Room is the hotel\u2019s most upmarket restaurant. It is an impressive Canadian steakhouse in the purest tradition, and above all delicious (it is even possible to have a private room). The decor is magnificent and the staff are welcoming. It is a real pleasure to share a meal as a group, with several dishes where everyone can help themselves. You will also find Woody\u2019s Pub &amp; Bistro, outside and open only in summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Market Caf\u00e9 is the place to go for souvenirs and take-out food. A wide range of coffees, sandwiches and pastries are available. And do not forget room service, so you can enjoy your meal in complete privacy. The fireplace is simply the perfect place to relax, housed in the centre of the lobby, you will certainly spend a lot of time there. There is also a huge water park built right into the centre.
