What I cover
I am a versatile individual with a keen interest in automobiles. While technological advancements and emerging trends are certainly part of my pursuits, I am equally passionate about the practical aspects of driving. I am drawn to the idea that a vehicle serves a specific purpose, and I endeavour to convey this sentiment. Additionally, I am an avid foodie who appreciates innovative culinary creations and a fan of both practical and unconventional gadgets. I travel for both professional and personal reasons, and I relish the opportunity to explore the diverse landscapes of our country on road trips, which my dog always accompanies me on.
My background
As the son of a cooking instructor and a general journalist for a local weekly newspaper (the oldest French newspaper in America), I spent some time in politics before returning to journalism. It was through technology and television that I began my career in the automotive industry two decades ago.
As a member of the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), I am passionate about all types of media and continue to contribute to numerous radio stations, websites and newspapers. I also train the next generation by co-hosting a podcast called Gars de Char with my son, William. My motto is to provide accurate information and an informed opinion, which I express by testing more than a hundred new vehicles annually. This experience informs my articles.
Why Gentologie
Gentologie is unique. The magazine's mission enables men to assert a personality they often neglect, that of the Gentleman. This definition does not necessarily involve great luxury, but rather attention to detail and a passion for what distinguishes us. Gentologie allows me to share this passion!
