Tissot Boutique Montréal: A first flagship store in Canada
Discover the new Tissot boutique at the Centre Eaton in Montréal.

Tissot Boutique Montréal: Small, but you can find everything there.

You won’t find a store as large as Time Vallée at Royalmount or any other major watch retailer in Greater Montreal. At nearly 60 square metres, the space is compact—but everything has been thought out down to the smallest detail, with a modern layout that perfectly reflects the brand’s DNA.

The most striking feature greets you as soon as you enter (on the left): a circular arch with an industrial aesthetic, a large red neon ring on a black background, engraved with a timeline tracing the history of Tissot since its origins. It is both a nod to mechanical watchmaking and a spectacular display that entices you to enter.

Inside, the collections are presented by themes, and the space is distinguished by the same vaulted display concept that opens to reveal the watchmaker’s most prized timepieces. In terms of experience, a holographic projection of various Tissot watches—including the T-Touch Connect Sport pictured here, visible levitating in a glass box—immediately catches the eye. The effect is incredible: the dial comes to life, displaying GPS data and heart rate, as if the watch were floating in the air. Around it, the brand’s partnerships are proudly displayed—Tour de France, MotoGP, NBA, Goldorak—each universe has its own staging.

The store also offers repair, maintenance and restoration services for watches at L’Atelier. And if you want to try a model before making your decision, you can—the staff is welcoming, passionate, and professional, with a contagious enthusiasm for sharing their love of watchmaking. You can say that this isn’t just a job for them: it’s a vocation.

Why Montréal?
It is clear that many people will wonder about the decision to open in downtown Montréal, given that Royalmount, Carrefour Laval, or even Toronto might have seemed like more logical options. But it is through their shared French roots that Tissot, originally from Le Locle, Switzerland, and Montréal’s rich Francophone culture, that the city emerged as the natural choice to host the brand’s first Canadian boutique, thereby strengthening its connection to heritage and watchmaking expertise.

“Launching our first Canadian boutique in Montreal is a meaningful milestone for Tissot,” says
Rick Ostrom, Managing Director of Tissot Canada. “It marks the beginning of a deeper
connection with Canadian customers and an opportunity to bring our collections and innovations
to life through a dedicated brand environment that reflects the full Tissot experience.”
Tissot : Impliquée dans le sport et à Montréal depuis plusieurs années
A few years ago, before its partnership with the NBA, Tissot was the official watch of the Montréal Canadiens. The brand is also still the official watch of the Ice Hockey World Championship—a strong link with Quebec that goes back a long way.
On the international stage, Tissot is the official timekeeper for the NBA, MotoGP™, and the Tour de France, three of the most watched sporting competitions in the world. And this fall, we are likely to see the Swiss cross on the streets of Montréal during the 2026 Road World Championships—an event that promises to give this partnership a very local resonance.
The brand’s ambassadors reflect this diversity of worlds: American basketball star Damian Lillard, Italian motorcycle sensation Enea Bastianini, Slovenian cyclist Primož Roglič, and Chinese actors Liu Yifei and Simon Gong. Each of these personalities embodies, in their own way, an idea that is dear to Tissot: excellence is built hour by hour.
Which Tissot watch should you buy at the Tissot Boutique Montréal?

Before stepping into the store, you need to know what to look for. Tissot offers a wide range of prices, from $275 to over $7,000 for some models, but in general, the maximum price is around $4,000. That’s why we’ve selected five Tissot watches for you, each embodying Swiss excellence in its own way—from the iconic PRX to the T-Race, the Gentleman, and the Savonnette, designed for the man who knows what he wants. Essential reading before your next visit. Also, our Watch Collection Journal, a new product in the Gentologie store, is also coming soon.
A promising start for other brands in downtown Montréal?
The opening of the Tissot boutique Montréal raises a broader question: is this the beginning of a movement for the SWATCH Group in Canada? After Calgary, will the next opening in Montréal be that of OMEGA? The connection would be quite natural: OMEGA is the official watch of James Bond, and the next film in the franchise will be directed by none other than Montrealer Denis Villeneuve. Is the city setting the stage for a new era in watchmaking? We’ll be watching closely.
