Wine
Fancy trying a delicious white wine to go with our next suggestion? Michel Chapoutier’s Belleruche Côtes-du-Rhone in white (SAQ Code: 13470001) is very delicate. It still has very present acidity, which will help combat the garlic butter that often comes with lobster.

Fresh Québec lobster, a crustacean appreciated by many gentlemen, arrived last week and the season is off to a great start. Our friends at La Mer Fish Market have regular arrivals from the Magdalen Islands. And they’re delicious.
Method
- In a very large pot, boil your water with ¼ cup coarse salt. Taste your water again when it reaches the boiling point. If you want it saltier, add more salt to taste. It’s always easier to add salt than to remove it.
- Cut the rubber bands from your lobster’s legs; without them, the lobster may taste plastic.
- Plunge lobster headfirst into water
- Calculate 11 minutes per pound for perfect cooking.
- Take your lobsters out and let them rest for about 5 minutes.
- Enjoy.

It’s the first weekend of the return of Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA show to Montreal. It’s a show based on a fantastic journey through imaginary Mexico. The show will be in the metropolis all summer long, until August 24. Don’t miss it! Buy your tickets here.
