The MINI Cooper SE 3 portes: An electrifying premiere

The MINI Cooper SE - Cover

It was in November that I discovered the all-new MINI Electric. This is the MINI Cooper SE 3-door, at the invitation of MINI Laval. This great revolutionary first, completely unique for the Laval MINI dealer and the D’Argenio family, took place more than two months before its first official presentation to the general public, which will take place at the Montreal Auto Show, in January 2020.

“The environment is today not only a concern, but a priority and we are therefore extremely excited to offer our customers this new ecological alternative thanks to the MINI Cooper SE 3 doors”, underlines Massimo D’Argenio, director, MINI Laval.

This new fully electric MINI, dubbed the MINI Cooper SE 3-door, ushers in a new era for the iconic city car. It’s the most advanced MINI; it combines its legendary design and behavior with instant acceleration, emission-free mobility and more “electrifying” energy than ever. The MINI Cooper SE 3-door will be equipped with the highest level of standard equipment of any MINI in the range, including LED headlights, Union Jack taillights, navigation system and ConnectedDrive service package to complete the electric drive. As a result, the optional equipment profile of the MINI Cooper SE 3-door is greatly simplified by offering three distinct levels of customization, each with a simplified list of autonomous options.

It will have taken years of development for it to become more than a concept, offering a superb alternative with iconic style; making it a highly anticipated event across the industry. The quintessential British car brand, founded in 1959 and owned by the German car company BMW since 2000, is proud to have preserved the characteristic dynamism of MINI in a much greener format.
