In exactly one year’s time, the world will turn its attention to the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. To kick off the countdown to this historic sporting event, the event’s official timekeeper, OMEGA, is launching a brand new timepiece, the Seamaster Diver 300M Paris 2024 Edition, with a touch of gold. The Seamaster range is also worn by British secret agent 007!

Seamaster Diver 300M Paris 2024 Edition: Available only in Paris…for now!

The Seamaster Diver 300M “Paris 2024” Special Edioon has been crafted as an exclusive tribute to the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad. This edition of the Olympic Games will mark OMEGA’s 31st time as Official Timekeeper, a role the company has fulfilled since 1932.

For the time being, the new 42 mm timepiece will only be available in OMEGA boutiques in the host city, Paris. Other boutiques, including the OMEGA Boutique in Vancouver, will receive it at a later date. It is made of stainless steel and Moonshine™ Gold 18K – OMEGA’s own yellow-gold alloy, which offers a more subtle hue, as well as great resistance to fading. As an Olympic Games timepiece, the use of gold is essential and a reminder of the coveted medals that every athlete strives for. Gold has been used for the watch’s bezel, which features a laser-structured diving scale in positive relief and a single dot of Super-LumiNova at 12 o’clock.

Its laser-engraved dial is an obvious eye-catcher. Made of white ceramic, it has a matte finish with polished waves in relief. On the date display at 6 o’clock, OMEGA has cleverly used the Paris 2024 typography to inscribe the numerals in black, while the central seconds hand bears a small but visible Paris 2024 emblem.

These are not the only details that distinguish this brand new original timepiece. The commemorative caseback reveals an inlaid 18K Gold Moonshine™ medallion, featuring the distinctive element of the Paris 2024 emblem, polished on a laser sandblasted background. This element is perfectly complemented by the stamped words “Paris 2024” and the iconic stainless steel Olympic rings, which are polished on a frosted structure to complete the Paris 2024 emblem.
