Coming Soon: New Membership Tiers for Le Club by Gentologie
In order to reflect our new visual identity focused on cream and British racing green, which you may have noticed while browsing Gentologie or visiting our social media channels, we will be introducing new membership tiers for Le Club by Gentologie in the coming weeks, with the launch of our redesigned website.
The New Membership Tiers for Le Club by Gentologie
As soon as the new website goes live, we will retire the current Club by Gentologie tiers (Digital, Print, and Elite).
These new tiers—Quartz, Sphene, Jade, Emerald, and Grandidierite—named after green gemstones, will be available through annual subscriptions and, for the first time, monthly ones.
We chose these names because we wanted to stand out. While names like Gold, Silver, and Platinum are commonly used, we opted for more original designations, inspired by our new visual signature and dominant colour. Please note that subscriptions (excluding gift subscriptions) and invitations are non-transferable.

Here is the correspondence between actual and future tiers:
- Quartz* → Free
- Digital: $29 → Sphene: $49
- Print: $49 → Jade: $89

When our new platform launches, non-logged-in visitors will have free access to three articles. To read more, they will be offered free access to the Quartz tier.
Club by Gentologie — Quartz Tier — Free with login
This is the entry-level tier, more commonly known as “freemium.” It’s a level accessible to everyone to read all public content offered on Gentologie.

Club by Gentologie — Sphene Tier — $5/month or $49/year
At the Sphene tier, the second of the new membership tiers for Le Club by Gentologie and the first paid one, which we refer to as the “Foundation,” you will benefit from numerous advantages, including exclusive offers from our partners. These will be revealed when the new site launches. You will also gain access to private events, both online and in person, as well as several other privileges. This is just the beginning.

Club by Gentologie — Grandidierite Tier
This tier represents the ultimate exclusivity. Members will enjoy multiple unique benefits. An experience that will showcase Gentologie’s full potential. More details will be shared in December 2025.
Why Subscribe to Club by Gentologie?
The reason is simple. At Gentologie, we want to build a community. Online, but also in person. At the time of writing, we have 23 active subscriptions. We know that’s not a lot compared to the hundred we had following our crowdfunding campaign for the print magazine. That’s mainly because we didn’t have access to automated renewal options, as that functionality was owned by the crowdfunding platform—which is totally understandable. This is why, starting in 2023, we essentially had to start from scratch, not to mention the lack of renewals.
But all of that changes today, as we’ll be putting much more energy into offering more to our members—more than just one magazine. On that note, we’ll only bring back the print magazine if we reach a minimum of 1,000 annual paid members. Otherwise, it isn’t sustainable for us—and most importantly, we publish a magazine so that it will be read.

The benefits presented here are just the beginning. They’ll continue to grow and expand each month. This could take many forms: contests, physical goods, and more. The possibilities are endless.
A Special Offer Until July 31, 2025
Until July 31, enjoy a locked-in annual rate for your subscription. This annual rate will remain unchanged when transferring to the new tiers and will be charged at renewal. Please note that if you cancel or fail to renew your subscription, you will no longer be eligible for this “legacy” rate.
As of August 1, these prices will be adjusted to match the corresponding tier at the time of renewal.
