SOUK is back, and this 20th edition marks a true rebirth. Until 30 November 2025, the famous artisan market will be held at the brand new Haleco space in Old Montréal. After a hiatus and a period of reflection, the event is back as SOUK 20 in full force with a completely revamped edition, featuring favourites from years past alongside a host of new discoveries. The atmosphere evokes both a return to its roots and a projection into the future of Montréal design.
Transforming Montréal design since 2003

Since its inception in 2003, SOUK has evolved far beyond the concept of a seasonal market. It has become a living archive of design and craft culture in Montréal. Over the years, it has travelled from iconic locations—from the SAT to Espace RCA, then to Place Ville-Marie—to adapt to the times and generations of creators who bring it to life. SOUK is constantly moving, transforming and redefining itself. Today, it embodies a true convergence point for creativity, craftsmanship, personal stories and the community that supports them. It is a place where design as narrative becomes design as experience.

This comeback comes at a pivotal moment: just before the holiday season and right in the middle of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In a context where fast consumption dominates, SOUK offers an essential counterbalance. Here, the pace feels different. You can take the time to meet the artisans, talk to them, and understand their creative process. You can sit down, have a drink, taste, decant, and soak up the atmosphere. It’s a reminder that shopping can be a human, sensory and cultural experience—far from the impulsive buying dictated by algorithms. Each creation tells a story, each object has a soul, and each encounter becomes a discovery.

“The SOUK has become a living community where every designer’s story contributes to a collective legacy. This film that we made captures not just memories but the deep human connections and creative spirit that continue to shape Montréal’s design future.” – Azamit, Founder & Creative
Director

This sense of creative legacy is at the heart of the SOUK 20 experience. In this unique space, the history of Montréal design is being written live, through works, materials, voices and collaborations. Visitors will discover a wide variety of disciplines: gastronomy, jewellery, stationery, clothing, utilitarian objects, furniture, lifestyle, and experimental design. It’s a microcosm of creative Montréal, brought together under one roof for six days of exploration.
