Peaches, strawberries, tomatoes and burrata salad

Having received the brand new Prosecco FIOL Rosé, I had to illustrate it in a way that reflects the aestheticism of the product and the gentlemanly side of Gentologie, so I found a very summery peaches, strawberries, tomatoes and burrata salad recipe (inspiration and original recipe here) and I made my way. It’s really very simple, so gentlemen, this is perfect for you.

It was while going to take my weekly tour at the Jean-Talon Market, a public market in Montréal, and seeing the beautiful seasonal products that the idea came to me to duplicate the salad, but to my taste. As I told you, it’s really a super simple and downright delicious salad.
An exquisite mix of sweetness, acidity and freshness in a plate
The juicy sweetness of the peaches pairs perfectly with the natural sugar of the strawberries and the acidity of the cherry tomatoes. The creamy burrata wraps it all together, while the prosciutto adds a savory, indulgent touch. The crunch of pumpkin seeds and almonds completes the textures for a perfect balance. This refreshing meal is ideal for warm summer days and brings a burst of vibrant flavours to your table.
The ingredients you need to complete this exquisite salad

Here is the list of all the ingredients to prepare this delicious and fresh summer meal for 2 to 4 people (the quantities are variable according to your appetite). Don’t hesitate to add ingredients if you have more people to your party.

- 2 Ontario Peaches, thinly sliced
- 10 Québec strawberries, halved lengthwise
- 10 Ontario cherries pitted and halved

Preparation of the Peaches, Strawberries, Tomatoes and Burrata salad
For an even more elegant and stylish presentation, dispose the fresh burrata in the center of the a grand plate in an oval shape, and evenly distribute the fruits and vegetables around it. Don’t forget to add a few fresh whole basil leaves which will add a pop of colour and freshness to this exquisite meal. Serve chilled for maximum enjoyment and pair with a crisp, chilled rosé (such a Miraval, Whispering Angel or Côte des Roses from Gérard Bertrand) or Rosé sparkling wine the FIOl Prosecco, of course.

This preparation is very easy dear gentlemen, take your time and your guest will be surprised of your talents.
- Prepare a bowl with olive oil and place the slices of bread in it for about 5 minutes.
- Cut the herbs finely and set them aside
- Remove olive oil from bread, add balsamic vinegar and top with herbs, tomatoes, peaches, cherries and strawberries. If necessary, add olive oil and herbs. It really is to your liking. Do not hesitate to vary the herbs over the seasons. Mix well and let everything in for 2–3 minutes.
- Spread the mixture on a large plate (with a good rim)
- Place bread slices on the side (and in a bowl for extras)
- Cut the burrata in half (or more) and place on the plate
- Add a few pieces of prosciutto
- Decorate with pumpkin seeds and nuts of your choice, I took almonds.
- Sprinkle with pecorino cheese.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic on the whole.
- Serve with Prosecco FIOL Rosé or any rosé wines you might like!
This salad is not only delicious but also packed with vitamins and antioxidants, making it a healthy choice for any meal. The combination of fresh fruits and creamy cheese creates a delightful contrast in every bite, perfect for casual lunches or as a sophisticated starter at dinner parties. Using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients really elevates the overall flavour and freshness, while the subtle hint of herbs brings complexity and an aromatic touch to the dish. Ideal for those who appreciate simple yet elegant recipes that highlight natural ingredients.

Enjoy, and also Bon appétit my gentlemen friends !
