Published on | 7 minutes of readingFather’s Day is approaching and you’re looking for the perfect spot to celebrate the paternal figure in your life over an excellent meal? Montréal is home to exceptional establishments where service, cuisine and ambiance are all on point. Here is Gentologie’s selection, made up of restaurants we have visited over the years (our selection is limited to establishments we have had the pleasure of visiting — if yours isn’t on the list yet, it simply means our paths haven’t crossed), which we believe are perfect for celebrating Father’s Day in Montréal. We have only included those that are open on Father’s Day itself, June 21 — a rare find.
Marcus at the Four Seasons Hotel Montréal: Freshness and an Incredible View

Marcus at the Four Seasons Hotel Montréal has established itself as a must-visit thanks to its cuisine, the incredible view from the terrace, and its festive atmosphere. Chef Jason Morris puts seafood front and centre in dishes that become true works of art. Brunch is also available, and their cocktail menu is absolutely outstanding. If you’re busy this weekend, their “Maison du Soleil” brunch takes place on June 27 and is a wonderful celebration in its own right.
Le Monarque: The Best of French Cuisine

A true French brasserie with two distinct sections: one more classic, the other more bistro. The atmosphere is magnificent and the selection of aged meats will make your mouth water. It’s the ideal spot to celebrate in a lively setting. A table d’hôte is available at lunch.
Moishes: A Great Classic for Meat Lovers

If your father is a meat lover, Moishes is a must. Certainly one of the best steakhouses in the city, located in the business district. The atmosphere is decidedly masculine, wines and spirits reign supreme, and a great time is guaranteed. On top of that, Joris Garcia, named Best Sommelier of the Americas in 2025, now oversees the restaurant’s wine programme.
Bar George at the Hotel Mount Stephen: The Charm of England

For the father who swears by all things English, Bar George and its upscale cuisine are a natural choice. The Beef Wellington is absolutely outstanding. Exceptional wines and champagne flow freely — evenings here are never dull.
Club Chasse et Pêche: A Classic Your Father Will Love

This restaurant has been on the scene since 2004 and, without fanfare, remains a benchmark. Great wines, flawless plates, land and sea on the menu. You won’t be disappointed — it’s the perfect place for your father.
BOUS: Persian and Gourmet Cuisine for Your Father

Photo: Scott Usheroff | Bous
A newcomer to Montréal, BOUS is a convivial table just finding its footing, having recently received its liquor licence. It’s an ideal spot for sharing — in the truest sense — a meal with the family around a generous table full of flavours from elsewhere. We’ll have much more to say about it in a full article coming soon.
Happy Father’s Day! And to find the ideal gift, our Father’s Day gift ideas are right here.
