Hendrick’s Gin AWEVANAIR takes flight in Vancouver in August
The Hendrick’s Gin AWEVANAIR, a 65-foot hot air balloon, takes its inaugural flight in Vancouver, inviting the Curious to foray into the wonderfully unusual world of Hendrick’s Gin.

Dear Vancouver readers (or travelers), on the 2nd and 3rd of August in the year 2019, Hendrick’s Gin will take to the streets and skies of Vancouver to awe with its two-day soar and score at the inaugural Honda Celebration of Light Downtown!

Floating skyward at the 29th edition of the famous festival, after it’s Montreal stop in June Hendrick’s Gin AWEVANAIR (Amazing, Whimsical, Enchanting, Voyaging, Astounding, Nocturnal, Ascending, Interstellar, Roamer), the 65-foot hot air balloon (oddly decorated with cucumbers and roses) will whisk lucky Golden Ticket winners 44 ¼ cucumbers high into the Vancouver sky.

As A.W.E.V.A.N.A.I.R. lights up the skies, the one-of-a-kind, cucumbers for keys, C.O.R.G.A.N. (Cucumber Organ of Remarkably Glorious Auditory Nirvana), shall grace the grounds of Vancouver for the first time in history, providing revellers the score to this astounding display of delight!

The C.O.R.G.A.N. features real, whole cucumbers that generate sound in lieu of traditional keys on an organ. The real cucumbers are changed daily to ensure optimum harmony and the freshest of sound as unusual C.O.R.G.A.N.ists play in the Hendrick’s Gin Air Departure Lounge both evenings.

For the first time in West Coast history, Hendrick’s Gin will provide V.I.P. Golden Ticket guests the rare opportunity to peek into the Hendrick’s Gin Cabinet of Curiosities for a sampling of their first-ever, limited edition, most unusual innovation, “.” Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice is a deeply floral gin inspired by the eternal mystery of nature’s most vivid blooms on the Midsummer solstice, and will be releasing in Canada before Winter solstice in 2019.

Guests bearing a Golden Ticket also have the opportunity to visit renowned Intuitive Specialist Terri-Lynn Decker who shall conduct one-on-one energy readings, while Thereminist Theadora Feu Follet plays the most mysterious sonnets of sound on the Hendrick’s Gin Theremin (also known in peculiar circles as the There-gin) without even laying a physical hand on an instrument.

While flights are limited to the lucky few Golden Ticket holders, all guests of the Honda Celebration of Light are welcome to visit the Hendrick’s Gin Air Departure Lounge featuring live music, entertainment, jazz and gin sampling.

The Hendrick’s Gin AWEVANAIR will be tethered at the steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery during the 2019 Honda Celebration of Light on Friday, August 2nd and Saturday, August 3rd, 2019. Flights will take place in the evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (based on wind patterns) and all guests bearing a Golden Ticket will have the opportunity to ride.
