Upcoming changes at Gentologie

Hello and, I hope you are well on this monday. I’d like to start this message by thanking you for reading us, there are more and more of you. Today, I want to talk to you about the future and the upcoming changes at Gentologie.

Many of you, about 300 on this March 13th, receive our various newsletters, whether it’s our main one or “To Drink by Gentologie,” which is sent out on Thursdays just before happy hour. By the way, you may only know us from the latter. Let me tell you a bit more about Gentologie.

What is Gentologie?

Gentologie is a bilingual lifestyle media aimed for gentlemen. We launched in September 2019 in Montréal. You know, it’s not essential to be well dressed in order to be a gentleman, on the contrary. It is above all a way of acting and being, of respecting and caring for others, and much more, values that seem to be lacking in many people in 2023 (I am not perfect myself). You may know that we explore all these different definitions and more at Gentologie.

Changes for the Autumn 2023

After much reflection on our business model, reading articles on our website will be restricted to paying subscribers and visitors who create an account (this option is free) at Gentologie  starting in the autumn of 2023, 4 years after our founding. Will this be the right decision? I don’t know, but if I want to continue the Gentologie adventure, I have no choice but to go this way.

I choose to go in this direction and these upcoming changes at Gentologie in order to increase the revenues of the Gentologie Media Group Inc. (which are not very high at the moment) in order to focus full time on the business to offer you relevant content and build a team with new and exclusive contributors without inundating you with ads.

I want you to always be able to read about the best places to visit in Switzerland by Mr. Jean-Michel Dufaux, discover a prototype vehicle in sunny California by Mr. Marc Bouchard, explore the unique Relais & Châteaux hotel in the Laurentians or our advice on some good dress code, and that we are able to pay well the authors who invite you to explore all the more luxurious aspects of the gentleman’s life around the planet.

In the meantime, you’ll find unexpected conversations with passionate gentlemen—in your inbox, on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, in our print magazine, and finally, here in our main digital universe, where you’ll still find our latest stories for free until the upcoming changes at Gentologie this autumn.

So what are you waiting to join us? It’s over here
