You are probably familiar with the popular French sparkling water PERRIER, and now it is innovating and diversifying. For its sparkling beverages, it is taking on a new name, MAISON PERRIER, with two ranges, MAISON PERRIER Forever and MAISON PERRIER Chic.
The MAISON PERRIER Forever range is an update of the brand’s existing flavoured waters, with the addition of two new flavours, lychee and pineapple. These complete inventory of 9 existing flavours, which will take on the new names: lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, ginger and lime, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and peach.
Think of MAISON PERRIER Chic as your new favourite high-end non-alcoholic cocktails. These new products flirt with an atmosphere of luxury, offering consumers a new alternative to alcoholic beverages. Proof of the brand’s seriousness, this collection was created with mixologists.
You will love them, with their generous bubbles and natural taste that is a world away from real cocktails, at less than 30 calories. Two flavours are currently available: the Peach Spritzer, which is a bit like the Bellini you will find in this article, but without the alcohol. And the Mojito, which is the equivalent of our recipe, but without alcohol. It is so delicious, you could be mistaken for one.

The Alma Restaurant

In May, we discovered the Alma restaurant and the tin set. What wonderful discoveries. If you are a fan of Mexican cuisine and Spanish wines, you will be well served, as you can see in this article, where we visited in two stages.
As for tinc set, it is their wine bar and wine merchant, but more in the Spanish spirit with delicious tapas (which we were able to sample on our second visit to Alma, where tinc set dishes were incorporated.
We are also keeping an eye out for the opening of their intimate new project, Terraza Luz.

As Café barista’s Barista Fest was taking place this Saturday, owner Alex Sereno kindly offered me their capsules for the original Nespresso “Cremone” machines, featuring floral and dark chocolate flavours. It is a real departure from anything else from Nespresso. The bitterness and acidity of the Swiss brand’s capsules is totally absent from those of Café Barista. It is sweet, velvety and pleasant. In short, a pleasant surprise. You can also choose from 3 other flavours: Venezia 1645, Gran Barista and Autentico, which I cannot wait to discover. . . Bonus: they are less expensive for the same number of capsules, so they had to be in The Best of Gentleman—June 2024.

You may have heard of chef Danny St-Pierre, formerly of Auguste, Derrière les fagots and many others, but here he is with his new project in Montréal’s Mile-Ex District. It is a super-intimate 25-seat restaurant (almost double with the summer terrace (patio) that has just been set up). Simple dishes with delicious taste and exquisite flavours. You can feel the chef in his element, and he just wants what ends up on your plate to be good.
Surprising starters (not forgetting his classic inverted poutine), red-and-white “Pizza Hut”-style pizzas with delicious crust and decadent desserts. We are not reinventing the world, but everything that arrives on the plate is excellent, hot and made with love. Dishes are also available to take away. Follow them on social networks, they often have incredible promotions.

We recently received two of the all-in-one shampoos, conditioners and shower gels in the American Crew range (the original and tea and ginger), and to be honest, they are a superb discovery. Especially the tea and ginger one. The lather is generous, they get the ointments off quickly, in short, a great addition to your shower routine that you are sure to appreciate. What is more, the bottle size, up to 1L, is very generous. What is more, the packaging is made from 80% post-consumer recycled plastic.

The Humaniti Spa – Essential Element for The Best of Gentleman – June 2024

We had already tried the treatments at Spa Humaniti during our stay at the hotel of the same name. And it was a pleasure to be there again for a manicure, they have a treatment specifically for men, and it was still excellent. The price is not very expensive ($30 for the manicure) and the work is exceptional and fast. Truly this new essential on The Best of Gentleman list – June 2024.
