For a successful weekend as a gentleman in Montréal from June 5 to 8, 2025: The program
Culture
MURAL
From today until June 15, the Montreal Urban Art Festival takes place.
This year, the main activities are concentrated on the intersection of Sherbrooke Street and Saint-Laurent Boulevard.
Unlike previous editions, which were marked by spectacular artistic performances, this one seems more discreet, despite the arrival of sponsors such as Lexus, which we’ll be telling you about shortly.
The murals, the festival’s main attraction, will be produced in large quantities. They are currently in production.
What’s more, admission will once again be free, and there’ll be plenty of entertainment. Also not to be missed is the MURAL Market.
At a time when graffiti in the city has reached worrying proportions, it would be great if MURAL and its parent company, LNDMRK, could set up a foundation to rid the city of graffiti and “keep the festival alive” year-round.
All the same, it’s a very interesting way of understanding this still poorly understood art, and a perfect activity with the fine weather for a successful weekend as a gentleman in Montréal from June 5 to 8, 2025.
Cinema
« Ballerina » at Cinéma Cinéplex Forum and VIP or Cinéma Banque Scotia
A fan of the John Wick tetralogy, soon to be a pentalogy, this first spin-off film, the second project without Keanu Reeeves as the main character after the excellent Continental series, is set between episodes 3 and 4, and promises fast-paced action.
Ana De Armas, who recently starred in No Time to Die, the latest James Bond film, plays Eve Macarro, whose story takes us back to the world of Ruska Roma, where the Cuban actress’ character is trained to take revenge for the death of her father. Ah. . . and Keanu Reeves will try to stop him. A fine appetizer for John Wick 5, which was recently announced. Perfect for escaping the heat for a successful weekend as a gentleman in Montréal from June 5 to 8, 2025.
Gastronomy and outings

We were there this week for the pre-launch of the Mondial de la Bière (to be held from June 20 to 22), and this restaurant is still in search of perfection. It’s a real factory, a real construction site, and the personnel seem really happy. What’s more, the gourmet table is still very affordable, not to mention the $90 anniversary menu. L’Europea is the recent recipient of a Michelin star, making it the perfect suggestion for a successful weekend as a gentleman in Montréal from June 5 to 8, 2025.

Les Premiers Vendredis (The First Fridays) (Hochelaga-Maisonneuve)
One restaurant? No, no less than 50. This June 6 (and June 7) sees the first edition of 2025 Les Premiers Vendredis. Les Premiers Vendredis is an event that brings together street food artisans on the Esplanade du Stade Olympique. We’re talking food trucks and kiosks here. The event is recognized as the largest gathering of street food in Canada. An event where culture and gastronomy meet.

A chic and practical masculine style for a successful weekend as a gentleman in Montréal from June 5 to 8, 2025, where good weather is king.
With temperatures topping the 25 °C mark and sunny skies during this gentleman’s weekend, it’s essential to combine style and lightness.
- The central element: the lightweight blazer
For a gentleman like Gentologie, the lightweight blazer is the very expression of summer elegance. Choose pieces crafted from noble materials, such as Italian linen, Super 120’s cold wool or luxurious linen-silk-wool blends, usually from houses like Canali (note that the latter is offered by our partner Clusier). Jackets, unlined or half-lined, hug the silhouette well while retaining their suppleness. They give a sophisticated look. Pair them with mercerized cotton dress pants or chinos, a poplin or light piqué shirt, and add a silk clutch and distressed leather shoes. The result is an effortlessly refined, casual look. - Opt for Lightweight Linen Pants
When well chosen, linen pants become a staple of the high-end summer wardrobe. They’re perfect for the Gentologie man. We recommend a slim-fitting but fluid cut, with impeccable finishing (darts, gimped inner waistband, turned-up hem) from renowned brands such as Brunello Cucinelli, Caruso, Boglioli or Loro Piana. Ideally, in natural tones (ivory, sand, tobacco or pale blue), it goes equally well with an open-collared shirt or a fine-knit polo. Slipped on with soft leather loafers or suede derbies, it expresses casual Mediterranean elegance, combining refinement with high textile standards. - Shirt
Add a linen shirt too, like the Sonrisa brand, which will be perfect with the warm temperatures of this successful weekend as a gentleman in Montréal from June 5 to 8, 2025. - Shoes
Whether loafers or closed-toe shoes, both will be elegant. But choose shoes that don’t have that different-coloured sole—it’s a miss and not at all gentlemanly.
Also, the German brand BOSS has just opened its flagship store in the Montreal area. Located in the prestigious Royalmount, it’s a store that’s sure to make you want to renew your style. . .
