Getaway to Bordeaux and Languedoc-Roussillon with this trio!
While The Grande Dégustation de Montréal is taking place, I have given myself a noble mission: to rediscover Bordeaux. This terroir is full of gems at all prices and exploring it leads to surprising revelations. The same goes for the IGP Pays D’Oc, which produces half the wines of Languedoc Roussillon. Treasures are hidden there and La Minuette rosé is a well kept one. Follow me on this getaway to Bordeaux and Languedoc-Roussillon.
Getaway to Bordeaux and Languedoc-Roussillon: Bordeaux Sirius 2020
A tribute to Maison Sichel, a family-run business in Bordeaux founded in 1883, which acquired Château Palmer, Angludet in Margaux and Daviaux in 2017, as well as being active in the Grands Crus Classés. Their Sirius in white is to be rediscovered! The enchantment, due to the symbiosis of ripe yellow apples, juicy peach, white flowers; its caressing texture, its structure and its length in the mouth astonish! It will be majestic with white fish in sauce, poultry, firm cheeses or seafood risotto. The Sirius in red is also a pleasure to drink. Charming and brilliant.

Domaine Gayda La Minuette 2021
This blended rosé wine from the IGP Pays d’OC in the splendid Languedoc region comes from limestone soil and enjoys a very sunny climate. Its pale colour and floral bouquet are a tribute to the “Minuette” Rosé variety. The rose and its delicate empyreumatic notes, together with the minerality, make this a complex and long-lasting wine! This certified organic product is rich and fresh, a perfect match for shrimp ceviche, mortadella or Mediterranean pizza. Elegant and dazzling.
- 60% Mourvèdre
- 15% Grenache
- 15% Syrah
- 10% Cinsault
Château Angludet Margaux 2018
A great wine tasted vertically at the Château a few years ago, located near the prestigious Crus Classés of Margaux, an unforgettable memory. The cherry and blackcurrant flavours are charming, the woody notes embellish it, it is suave and fresh, the graphite gives an impression of minerality, in short a powerful and legendary vintage. Do not hesitate to decant to give it wings, as well as serve it at around 16 ℃. An incredible pairing with prime rib and grilled vegetables as well as garlic and rosemary lamb. Flamboyant and caressing!
- 55% Cabernet Sauvignon
- 35% Merlot
- 10 % Petit Verdot
