Today, September 7th, Apple held its popular press conference to announce the latest additions to its product line for the end of 2022. Here are the latest additions to Apple’s product line for autumn 2022.

Apple Watch – New at Apple – Autumn 2022

Apple Watch Series 8

Since its introduction seven years ago, the Apple Watch has been the world’s best-selling smartwatch, and certainly not for anything. Its design is impeccable, it’s easy to read, and its features keep improving, especially in the health and safety area. Speaking of the latter, the new “Crash detection” feature is able to recognize extreme impacts in a collision and sends a notification to the emergency services. As for the battery, which Apple says last 18 hours, the company is introducing a Low Power Mode for its watch that can increase the battery life to 36 hours, starting with the Series 4. Available in four colours: Midnight, Silver, Comet and Product (Red). There are also new straps from Nike and Hermès.

The only thing I could say against the Apple Watch is its obsolescence. This is the case with my Series 2 whose battery doesn’t even last a day and can’t keep up with me during a run. I’ve been wearing my AVI-8 ever since.

Apple Watch SE

The SE is the entry-level model of the Apple Watch. Perfect for kids. It offers the core Apple Watch experience, including activity tracking, high and low heart rate notifications, and emergency SOS, as well as new collision detection and a completely redesigned back case that perfectly matches the three classic case finishes, all at a more affordable price of $CAD 329. Both models are powered by watchOS 9, which introduces new, more customizable watch faces like Lunar and Metropolitan, an improved fitness app, sleep stages, a first-of-its-kind atrial fibrillation history feature, and an all-new Medication app, so you don’t forget to take it.

Apple Watch Ultra

You’re extreme in your movements, Apple unveils the all-new Apple Watch Ultra. It has a huge 49-millimetre, corrosion-resistant titanium case. Its battery lasts up to 36 hours, and 60 hours in an update coming this fall. It also includes a night mode. A variety of straps suitable for extreme activities such as diving, long-distance runners, and other explorers. To stay in touch, the new L1GPS ensures you never lose your distance. Plus, it’s water-resistant up to 100 feet underwater. The Apple Watch Ultra has a compass function to help you find your way back. And if you do get lost, there’s an Emergency SOS function that makes a sound so people passing by can find you. And for the night, it will be easier to read with its easily accessible night mode.

The Wayfinder dial is designed specifically for the Apple Watch Ultra’s large screen and includes a compass built into the dial, with space for up to eight complications. The watch also comes with three new bands—Alpine Band, Trail Band and Ocean Band—that feature unique design features and offer a secure and comfortable fit for any adventure.

AirPods – New at Apple – Autumn 2022

AirPods Pro

As for the AirPods, it is the second generation AirPods Pro that has been unveiled. With its new H2 chip. Apple’s spatial audio is also offered in this new evolution of these popular earphones. The active noise cancellation is now twice as effective as its previous version. Now you get 6 hours of listening time, and up to 30 hours with the case. You can even find your case with the new built-in speakers. Also, a new transducer and improved acoustic algorithms help Active Noise Cancellation reduce unwanted sounds. So nothing gets in the way of your listening when you’re on the move or need to concentrate while working in a café, office and at home.

iPhone – New at Apple – Autumn 2022

iPhone 14 – iPhone 14 Plus

What you’ve all been waiting for. The iPhone 14. First of all, its size 6.1 inches for the iPhone 14 and 6.7 inches for the iPhone 14 Plus.  With a Super Retina XDR OLED display, it’s as brilliant as ever. Available in colours such as midnight, silver, starlight, blue, purple and Product (Red). For the chip, it is the A15 that we find, that is to say the same one which was in the preceding iPhone Pro Max.

Photo lovers, you’re not left out. The main camera features a larger sensor and pixels, a new TrueDepth front-facing camera, Ultra Wide Camera to capture more of a scene, and Photonic Engine for a quantum leap in low-light performance. Specifically, its new rear camera of 12 MPs, 26 mm, ƒ/1.5 aperture, sensor shift optical image stabilization, 7-component lenses, 100% Focus Pixels and 49% low-light enhancement will make you take great photos not to mention the 12 MP Ultra Wide Camera: 13 mm, ƒ/2.4 aperture and 120° angle of view, 5-component lens, 100% Focus Pixels that will definitely help you with your landscapes. iPhone 14 Pro – iPhone 14 Pro Max

In addition to the Phone 14’s innovations, the new 12MP True Depth camera with its ƒ/1.9 aperture and auto focus with Focus Pixels, it transforms the “Notch,” which becomes an interactive part “The Dynamic Island,” which constantly changes shape depending on the application. For example, you can keep an eye on the score of your favourite team or when your taxi will arrive in this bar. See in the video, it’s still amazing.

The arrival of iOS 16 brings the lock screen visible at all times. When your iPhone is face down or in a bag, it goes dark to conserve battery life. With the new operating system, your screen is now customisable. iPhone 14 Pro raises the bar for 48MP cameras by offering up to 4x the resolution in ProRaw. 4K HDR at 24 fps – the standard in the film industry – makes its debut in Cinematic mode with iPhone 14 Pro. For battery life, it’s up to 29 hours of video playback on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and up to 23 hours of video playback on the iPhone 14 Pro.
